PHOTOS> First Successful Open Heart Surgery Performed In Nigeria As University Teaching Hospital Makes History

The castigation of private university being called baby university or higher secondary is over due to the recent development and first of its kind. Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State recorded a feat last Thursday, as the first heart surgery was performed in the institution’s Teaching Hospital, by its surgeons. The operation lasted six hours. More photo and story below


The first beneficiary of this feat in the history of the university is a 34-year-old woman, who was operated on by cardio thoracic surgeons, Professor Kamar Adeleke, Dr. Michael Sanusi, Dr. Mudashiru Lawal and Dr. Edward Anderson, all resident doctors, and the operation was a success - Congrats.
