This is one hell of a culture and a difficult situation. To some people they might just say she should walk away, but its not going to be easy. Here is how it happened. I dated this guy for about two years plus, he was so sweet that i have no choice to fall deeply in love with him. So i waited patiently until he finally proposed to me, but on that day i noticed he wasnt too happy, when i asked, he said i should not bother my self about it for now, that when the time comes i would. So i relaxed.
When i noticed after the day he proposed he never said anything about us going further with the arrangement, then i reminded him, his moral dropped and he said he has a confession to make. I was so scared of his mood, then i asked what is the matter? He said before i can make further arrangement, my dad must have to sleep with you, that is our culture and tradition.
Please help me.. I am supposed to be introducing my boyfriend to my parents. But the problem is that my boyfriend says his culture dictates that his father first “tastes” me to know exactly where his cows are going and if I’m valuable. My boyfriend is okay with it because its his culture and he wants me get married to him but I have a big problem with it, I can’t run out because I love this man dearly. What should I do
