This is a letter that was sent by one of our readers to US SAYING HOW DISAPPOINTED she is about the Nigeria film industry called The Nollywood. She actually spoke out her heart and said what ever she wrote should not be taken personal. Below is the letter in details
My name is Jacinta (surname with held), I am 17 years old, just finished my senior school certificate examination . I always had this aspiration and ambition of being a nollywood star, but recently the mind set dropped and wont even want to think about the industry anymore. These are my reasons and should not be taken personal please and to whom it may concern. I know is bound for everyone to die some day, but the way we lose our actors and actress is getting suspicious and unthinkable. The industry now gives out this impression as if it uses members for something which i cant explain, and when these members dies, they are mourn for few days and forgotten for ever. No one will ever talk of them again.
Another part that get me more scared, is the way they end up begging for help, when they are attacked by one ailment or the other, I see them normally as bunch of rich people, but seriously, and of recent happenings, I think the industry is a wreck and has nothing to offer the members. They hardly support the members when such attack comes. This is not good for the image of the industry. So other reasons i cant drop down due to some reasons, but who ever it may concern, the nollywood industry needs cleansing and purification, only God can do that. The industry also needs a good welfare scheme that will protect the image of the members.
